How to Remove unused files of earlier version in Windows 10

Windows 10 holds several unusable files of installed operating system if it is installed or upgraded using older version of windows. In Windows 10, there is no any use of these files so you need to remove it completely from the computer system. You will need to run Disk Cleanup to remove these files permanently from computer system. How will you run disk cleanup is being written in following statements.


Steps to remove unused files of earlier version in Windows 10 –

#. First of all, launch Run dialog box using Windows button with R key simultaneously.

#. Type cleanmgr in command box of Run dialog box and press Ok button.

#. After it you will get Disk Cleanup window in which select any drive and press Ok button.

#. After it you will get list of files and folders deleting which you can free computer memory.

#. In same window, you will get Clean up system files option, click on it.

















#. Check for the Previous Windows installation item and click on Ok.

#. Wait a while for deletion of earlier installed operating system files.

#. Now Restart computer system, you will get all unused files deleted from system.
