While updating the OS to the latest version it might happen that you encounter the error code 0x80244010. The error banner with the particular code reads as Exceeded Max Server Round Trips Error. The cause as per analysis is the surpassing the total number of trips which is actually permitted to the WSUS server.

A trip to the server is usually made by a client while moving to the server and requesting to give all updates with a certain scope of time. In general updates, a particular server sends around 200k worth of update metadata in a single trip. So there are a huge lot chances for the server to exceed the marked number of trips.
