How to Create a Desktop Shortcut for Snipping Tool in Windows 10

Snipping Tool is a screen-capture program available in Windows 10, 8 and 7. There is no shortcut available on the Desktop for Snipping Tool by default but you can always create a desktop shortcut for Snipping Tool in Windows 10 easily with a few clicks. You will need to create a shortcut as you have to use the Snipping Tool every now and then and by making a shortcut you can make this job easier and quicker.

Steps to create a desktop shortcut for Snipping Tool in Windows 10


Step 1- Go to the Desktop and right-click on it. Select New>Shortcut from the Right-Click Menu.
Step 2- You can see the Create Shortcut Dialog box appear on the screen. Enter snippingtool.exe in the ‘Type the location of the item’ and then click on Next button.
Step 3- Enter a name for the shortcut (for example: “Snip tool”) and then click on Finish.
Step 4- You are done. The shortcut to Snipping Tool is created on the Desktop of your Windows 10. You can check by double clicking on the shortcut icon.
