The update was more focused on bug fixes and performance fixes so that the windows will be more stable and less buggy than the previous versions. The very first feature update that you can notice is that you can do multitasking on Microsoft edge. Microsoft Edge can now multitask up to five tabs using the Alt + Tab keys (Settings > Multitasking > Alt + Tab dropdown menu). Windows gives you the option of enabling or disabling this feature from the Windows settings.




As part of the Windows 10 October update, one can find all newly revamped start menu. The start menu theme blends in with the icons and the tiles also blend better, bringing in a transparent color rather than a solid color to the background of app logos and tiles, making it visually easier to scan for apps you want.


Finally, as part of this autumn update, Microsoft has made it easy to set up and control monitor refresh rates. So, if you forgot to enable 144Hz on your monitor, you will be able to switch in settings (Settings > System more easily> Display > Advanced display settings).

Other update features include small bug fixes and improvements to have better accessibility and improved experience.

How to Download Windows 10 October 2020 Update

1. Update directly from the system

1. If you want to install the update now, select Start > Settings > Update & Security >Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.

1. Navigate the official webpage of Microsoft that holds the most recent version of Windows.

2. From the appearing page, click Download tool now button located below Create Windows 10 installation media segment.

3. Click on Save file when a pop-up prompt.

4. After completion of downloading, head over to the directory where your system saves all downloaded items. 




5. Double-click on MediaCreationTool20H2.exe.

6. Click Yes when the system brings up a UAC for your consent.

Usually, the detected ones are always correct but still, you can change them if needed using the drop-down list located beneath each option. Once you are done, hit the Next button.

From the subsequent window, opt for the option ISO file followed by clicking on Next.

After that, choose a location where you want to save the copy of the ISO file and then hit Save button.

When the downloading process hits 100%, click on Finish.
